- Made a bet with the currently terminally ill god of thieves when he was in his early teenager years, along with his brothers. Whoever of the three steals the most valuable amount of goods, be it riches or soomething amazingly hard to get, steps up to replace above mentioned god. This of course means ultimate power, immortality, and neverending riches, yada yada the good stuff. Bolag, as the hotheaded bull he is, decided to set off on a more adventurous road than the others: the more danger awaits, the quicker he rises to challenge it. The harder to steal something, the more he wants it, and he gets it. He's currently in the last place of the competition, but who knows: maybe an entire realm will tip the scales
- As a side job, Bolag took up freelance mercenaryhood. He's good at his job, and known as a great threat to anyone who's unfortunate enough to get on Bolag's hit-list.
- So far, only three people could escape his tenacious chase: a wizard, a legendary stag of the Forest of the Northest Unknown, and his younger brother, Havok. All three of them used magic to achieve this admirable act.

- He's a gambling man: if he offers you to play the shell game with him, say no. With confidence. If you play, you go home naked, with minus one kidney.
